Pineapple Upside Down Pops

I cannot take credit for these DELICIOUS pops ~ a friend of mine had suggested them, and I thought the idea was fabulous! The recipe was simple (and only required a little tweaking) and they came together so quickly!

I LOVE the gold glitter dust on the top of the pop ~ really makes that "pineapple" ring glisten,
just like a real carmelized pineapple ring in the name-sake cake.

These yellow beauties are made from a yellow cake, made with TOP SECRET pineapple ingredients, and have JUST the right amount of tiny pineapple bites inside. They are so moist and melt-in-your-mouth at the same time!

I have recently (FINALLY) put Piece of Cake on Pinterest ~ and let me tell you, it is like the black hole of time wasting advertising.  I LOVE to HATE it!  It is so awesome to put a picture of my OWN work up, and watch people share and repin that picture.   Makes me one proud cake pop momma!

But I SWEAR you will LOVE it in the long run :)

Alright ... Alright ...

Okay ~ I have been HORRIBLE at blogging in the past few months

(and I mean horrible, when was my last post?!!?! like, November? Sadly, true)

Well, I am back to poppin' and enjoying every minute of it!

(Below ~ a birthday order for a customer ~ beautiful colors ~ simple, yet cute!)

I have re-dedicated myself to the "paperwork" end of Piece of Cake ~ today (alone) I have updated my computer files from 2011 to 2012 (ah, can you EVEN believe it's 2012?!?! I certainly remember partyin' like it's '99 ... eek!).

I have also set aside some time each week to try a create a new variety of cake pops, re-try some old ones, and update this thingy we call a blog (for real, who came up with the term BLOG?! It does not even sound appetizing ... but alas, I must follow herd and go along with it as well!)

First up, PINEAPPLE UPSIDE DOWN CAKE POPS ~ from a customer request ~ I will be attempting the first batch of these cute little nuggets tomorrow ~ wish me luck ~ and keep posted to see how they turn out! (I sure hope they will be added to the list!)

Mmmmmnnnnn ... GOURMET!

There have been some new additions that I have not had a chance to introduce ... so, allow me:

Chocolate Mint ~ Dark chocolate, mint cake, dipped in milk chocolate, topped with Andes mints

Gourmet Nerds ~  Vanilla cake with sprinkles, dipped in vanilla and topped wth (you guessed it) NERDS!

Peanut Butter Cup - Dark chocolate cake, peanut butter butter cream frosting, dipped in milk chocolate, topped with peanut butter cups. BEST CAKE POP to date!

Pumpkin Spice ~ spice cake with mixed with pumpkin, cream cheese frosting, dipped in vanilla and topped with walnuts

Rocky Road ~ chocolate cake with chocolate frosting, dipped in milk chocolate and topped with mini marshmallows and nuts :)

Vendor Blender

Thanks to a fellow home-based-business friend (who is willing to share a corner of her table, so I can post a few flyers and pictures), I will be making a "guest" appearance at the local

Vendor Blender craft show!

Hopefully I can get some "Holiday Orders" scheduled from the craft show ~ looking forward to a busy, cake-popping holiday season!  I'd better start working on my OWN holiday baking now!

Halloween was AWESOME ~ having orders for 33 dozen cake pops (in one week) was CRAZY, but it was so much fun ~ and even better was hearing about all the great Halloween parties that my cake pops made it to!

Now, onto the next holiday ~ Thanksgiving ~ I've already got my Turkey Cake Pops ready!  (and no, I did NOT mean turkey flavored cake pops, EW!  Could you imagine?!?  Turkey gravy and mashed potatoes come to mind ... yummy, but GAG in a cake pop!)
