Mmmmmnnnnn ... GOURMET!

There have been some new additions that I have not had a chance to introduce ... so, allow me:

Chocolate Mint ~ Dark chocolate, mint cake, dipped in milk chocolate, topped with Andes mints

Gourmet Nerds ~  Vanilla cake with sprinkles, dipped in vanilla and topped wth (you guessed it) NERDS!

Peanut Butter Cup - Dark chocolate cake, peanut butter butter cream frosting, dipped in milk chocolate, topped with peanut butter cups. BEST CAKE POP to date!

Pumpkin Spice ~ spice cake with mixed with pumpkin, cream cheese frosting, dipped in vanilla and topped with walnuts

Rocky Road ~ chocolate cake with chocolate frosting, dipped in milk chocolate and topped with mini marshmallows and nuts :)

Vendor Blender

Thanks to a fellow home-based-business friend (who is willing to share a corner of her table, so I can post a few flyers and pictures), I will be making a "guest" appearance at the local

Vendor Blender craft show!

Hopefully I can get some "Holiday Orders" scheduled from the craft show ~ looking forward to a busy, cake-popping holiday season!  I'd better start working on my OWN holiday baking now!



BUSY BUSY BUSY!

Halloween was AWESOME ~ having orders for 33 dozen cake pops (in one week) was CRAZY, but it was so much fun ~ and even better was hearing about all the great Halloween parties that my cake pops made it to!

Now, onto the next holiday ~ Thanksgiving ~ I've already got my Turkey Cake Pops ready!  (and no, I did NOT mean turkey flavored cake pops, EW!  Could you imagine?!?  Turkey gravy and mashed potatoes come to mind ... yummy, but GAG in a cake pop!)

Wowzers ... I have NEVER tried Twitter ... I mean never even visited the website!  I have always been a Facebook fan, through and through - but early this morning, before the coffee kicked in, I decided to try Twitter on a whim.  I must say, it's kinda fun - although I have no idea what I am doing yet!

As September rolls around so does back to school, cooler temperatures outdoors, bonfires,
thinking of Fall ... ahhh, Fall ... my favourite season!

We're Back!

Okay, so after having a blast of a summer (I know it's not totally over yet, but let's face it .... it's the end of August!) I have decided to re-dedicate myself to

Piece of Cake!

I am hoping to start POPPING up here there and everywhere .... working with Cedulie's Photography (yea!) ... starting some fun and exciting contests and giveaways ... and hoping to start creating some cutesey-wootsey cake pops this week!

Twiddling Thumbs ...

HEY all you cake pop lovers!  Where have you been?!?!  It has been awfully quiet in my cake pop kitchen (that's sort of ok, since I have gotten a lot of my "chores" done from my to-do-list ... but SERIOUSLY, who WANTS to work on their to-do-list?!?)

If you have been thinking of placing an order - come on!  The time is right .... for an ice cream cone pop - trade in that melty ice cream cone for a cake pop (oh, who am I kidding - we are in MINNESOTA, our ice cream RARELY melts!) - but you get what I'm sayin' ...

I will be making a cake pop appearance at a friend's garage sale this weekend - nothing better than rolling outta bed super early on a SATURDAY, coffee in one hand, other hand digging through garage sale treasures, hair unbrushed, still in jammies (what?!? you don't "garage sale" like this?  I DO!)  - then finding a CAKE POP (or two) to eat on the way home ...  I'd say that's a pretty good Saturday!

These are SO much fun to eat and are a hit at birthday parties!

The crunchiness of the cone mixed with the sweetness of the "scoop" of cake pop is just the combination.

Gotta love the "melty ice cream," dripping with fudge, and a cherry to top it off!

This is just too fun!

I just love the sound of sweet little birdies chirping outside my window ~

frogs and crickets, the whole nine yards, are a relaxing sound.

Now, after some time well spent with some beautiful blue candy melt,

I have some sweet chirping of my own ... from my kitchen :)

Okay, I admit, I have already eaten one - for quality assurance purposes of course!

Spring has NOT sprung .. but it's trying really hard ...

 

SO, even though we like to pretend we are knee-deep in Spring, turns out we are just knee-deep in more snow! That's okay, because if it can't be Spring outside (although it is VERY near, I can feel it in my bones!) it can definately be Spring in my kitchen: WELCOME SPRING!!!

Tulip CAKE POPS are popping up everywhere! Aren't they just so stinkin' cute?!?! And oh, yes ... did you realize that Mother's Day is just around the corner? I didn't forget ... I look forward to that special day more than most!

 

I have not come across a single person that does not LOVE a cupcake ~ so what's not to love about one of

Piece of Cake's newest trials ... the MINI CUPCAKE!

I am sad (NOT REALLY) to say that these two cutesie trial cupcakes did not survive ...

We ate them up just as soon as the kids went to bed!

Don't feel too bad for my kiddos - they get a few cake pops a week from my failure pile :)

What I've been making lately ... (and eating ...)

Anyone who knows me, knows that I LOVE to bake (NOT COOK) and LOVE pretty much anything sweet.  I am quite sure I could live on chocolate ~ maybe I should try that experiment soon ... hmmm ...

Well, anyway, I have stumbled upon my new found love the

CAKE POP!

I just can't stop creating these little nuggets of love on a stick - they are so darn cute and (not to mention) scrumptous! 

 Each bite is filled with moist, squishy cake, and a hard candy or chocolate coating ... they even come in seasonal cuteness:
